Taam is a solid to great lecturer but has limited power outside of that, given several professors run 125/126. He's nice with a hint of leeway but expect to study. It's true that 125/126 is more rigorous in the fall, not impossible, but definitely more stressful if you lack mathematical rigor. Resources from past sems can help a ton throughout.

Taam is great for 125 & 126! The course material can be challenging but his lectures are engaging and he cares about his students. The assignments in the course are the same for all professors so take Taam if you want to understand and enjoy your lectures.

Everything is good and is an amazing professor however, his hand-writing is terrible. Like I have never seen a professor with handwriting this terrible which makes the lecture very hard than they already are.

Taam is the way to go for 125-126. Sometimes he gets a bit ramble-ish in his lectures and you need to filter out what's useful, but he's overall easy to understand and covers all the needed material. Sometimes it'll feel frustrating because workshops are often really hard, but his lessons will adequately prepare you for exams. Don't skip lecture.

He went pretty fast in lecture so it was hard to keep up. If you study and ask your TA for help you will be fine. Apparently the class is harder in the fall than it is in the spring and they decide how hard to make 126 based of the grades people got in 125.

Thorough and easy-to-follow lectures, although slightly fast-paced. Taam covers the theory extensively as well as practice problems, but attend recitations to get more practice. Take Taam for 125-126 if you have the chance to.

I always heard people say Alessandrini was the best MA 125 teacher but I had Taam and he explained everything perfectly for me. I'd definitely recommend him to someone passionate about math. I do think he goes fast in his lectures and over-explains the theory behind everything, but it was always interesting to me.

Taam understands the topics very well and cares about his students but spends much of the lecture doing a proof for math and then cramming the procedure in at the end of class. Very good if you attend office hours but not very effective lecture times.

Took him online for MA 121 during winter intersection. Class was two weeks long and the hours were insane, but he still managed to teach a good amount despite the horrible schedule. His lectures were pretty good and informative. Just study and go to recitations.

Freshman fall, I was assigned to Monika's and didnt understand anything so I just started coming to Taam's lectures and it was a breath of fresh air. Incredible drawerer of multivariable graphs, and an incredible topic coverer. Highly Recommended over other choices. (he also writes the tests)

Taam is fine. Unremarkable. Perfectly average. That's okay because he still teaches well. His biggest issue is that he goes pretty fast. I'll be writing stuff down and sometimes struggling to keep up with what he's writing. Easy to understand. Nikolaev is better but Taam is good too. No other complaints besides going kinda fast.

He is a nice professor, but he moves so fast in lectures it is hard to keep up. He explains stuff as if his students already understand the topics he is teaching, but even if you do the preclass work, it is hard to keep up. He is very kind and understanding, but I found myself using Youtube to learn everything.

For 125, vectors were easy, but matrices were harder to understand cuz I had no prior experience. 126 was easy overall, his lectures made it easier. Only class in which everyone came to the lecture (which is pretty impressive). Only bad part is his handwriting is terrible and is hard to read from the other side of the room.

I took Professor Taam for MA-125 and MA-126 and he was really great at teaching both. The biggest issue I have with him is that he will occasionally go on long "speeches" during lecture which may be a little hard to keep up with but besides those instances his lectures are great. Textbook is free for both classes and the recitations are helpful.

Every class, Professor Taam would walk in and start lecturing, and wouldn't stop until after class was over. He explained things in a way that helped me understand, but deciphering his handwriting was a whole other challenge. Do not skip lecture, and if you put in the work you should be fine.

Really great lectures and does give great feedback on quizzes. Tests arent that bad but study the practice multiple choice he puts out because sometimes the exact questions are on them.
